An understrength second eleven squad was despatched to Mount Juliet to play
a friendly fixture in the Kilkenny venue last Saturday.

Mount Juliet batted first and hit 170 for the loss of 8 wickets. Sunil
Charles took 1 for 22, Bernard O'Mara 1 for 28, Noel Purcell 1 for 38 and
Anjum Fairidi 2 for 23. Some good catches were taken and 2 run outs
effected, displaying the squads ability ad sharpness in the field.

It wasn't so good in the batting innings, 'Town being bowled out for 70,
with only Fairidi with 37 runs and Paddy Walsh on 8 showing some batting
skills.
