Bagenalstown Cricket Club is located in McGrath Park, Bagenalstown, right beside the Pitch 'n Putt Club. To get to the grounds, drive through the Pitch 'n Putt course, we are at the end of the track. If lost in Bagenastown, it will probably be better to ask for the Pitch n' Putt course.
If coming from Dublin: Should take about 70-80 minutes from Red Cow roundabout, depending on traffic. Turn off the main Carlow-Kilkenny road to Leighlinbridge , at the left turn just after the two big concrete sculpture "things" (about 10 miles past Carolw).. Go down this road past the Lord Bagenal watering hole and turn left to Bagenalstown on the corner outside the Lord Bagenal (NOT the left just before the corner). After about 3 miles, the road goes along beside the River Barrow on your right and a big old mill is on your left. Take the first left around to the other siide of the milll. The cricket club is aross the cattle-grid and up the road on your right, opposite the entrance to the mill, through the Pitch n' Putt course.
If Coming from Kilkenny: Turn off the Carlow-Kilkenny road at Royal Oak. Stay on this road until it comes to a crossroads in the middle of Bagenalstown (about a mile), just past a church and petrol station. Turn left , down to another junction, turn right - there will now be another big church on your right. Take the left turn opposite the church, which will bring you down to the river. Turn right at the river, after a couple of hundred yards you will see a big old mill. Take the right turn just before the mill. The cricket club is across the cattle-grid andup the road on your right, opposite the entrance to the mill, through the Pitch n' Putt course.
